- 8 slices bacon, cut into 1-inch pieces
- 1/2 cup chopped celery, 1-inch chunks

- 1/2 cup chopped onion, 1-inch chunks
- 6 cups water
- 1 package Zatarain's® Gumbo Mix
- 2 cups frozen okra slices
- 1 pound medium shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 1/4 cup chopped green onions
INSTRUCTIONS
- 1 Cook bacon in Dutch oven or large saucepan on medium-high heat until crisp. Add celery, bell pepper and onion; cook and stir 3 minutes or until vegetables begin to softened.
- 2 Stir in water and Rice Mix. Bring to boil. Reduce heat to low; cover and simmer 15 minutes. Add okra and shrimp; cook 10 minutes longer or until rice is tender and shrimp turn pink, stirring occasionally. Sprinkle with green onions, before serving.
