- Gingered Pears
- 4 firm ripe pears, peeled and sliced
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice
- 1 1/2 teaspoons McCormick® All Natural Pure Vanilla Extract
- 2 tablespoons cornstarch
- 1/2 teaspoon McCormick Gourmet™ Organic Ground Saigon Cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon McCormick Gourmet™ Organic Ground Ginger
- Streusel Topping
- 1/2 cup flour
- 1/2 cup quick-cooking oats
- 1/2 cup packed light brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon McCormick Gourmet™ Organic Ground Saigon Cinnamon
- 6 tablespoons cold butter, cut into chunks
INSTRUCTIONS
- 1 Preheat oven to 350°F. Toss pear slices with lemon juice and vanilla in large bowl. Mix cornstarch, cinnamon and ginger. Sprinkle over pears; toss to coat well. Spoon into lightly greased 8- or 9-inch square baking dish
- 2 For the Streusel Topping, mix flour, oats, sugar and cinnamon in medium bowl. Cut in butter with pastry blender or 2 knives until coarse crumbs form. Sprinkle evenly over pear mixture
- 3 Bake 40 to 45 minutes or until pears are tender and topping is golden brown. Serve warm.
