- FIlling
- 3/4 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup Stubb's® Hickory Bourbon Barbecue Sauce
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 tablespoon corn starch
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/8 teaspoon ground coriander
- 1/8 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- Juice of 1/2 lemon
- 1/8 teaspoon lemon zest
- 1/8 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
- 8 granny smith apples, peeled, cored and cut into 1/2-inch thick slices
- Topping
- 3/4 all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup butter, softened
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
INSTRUCTIONS
- 1 Preheat oven to 425°F. Mix all filling ingredients, except apples, in large bowl. Gently stir in apples. Transfer apple mixture to a 13x9-inch baking dish.
- 2 For the topping, mix together all ingredients until well blended. Sprinkle crumb topping over apple mixture to cover.
- 3 Bake 15 minutes. Reduce temperature to 375°F. Bake 35 minutes longer.
- 4 Remove from oven and let cool 20 minutes before serving. Spoon generous helpings into a bowl and top with your favorite ice cream.
