  • FIlling
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup Stubb's® Hickory Bourbon Barbecue Sauce
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 tablespoon corn starch
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/8 teaspoon ground coriander
  • 1/8 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • Juice of 1/2 lemon
  • 1/8 teaspoon lemon zest
  • 1/8 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • 8 granny smith apples, peeled, cored and cut into 1/2-inch thick slices
  • Topping
  • 3/4 all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup butter, softened
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon

INSTRUCTIONS

  • 1 Preheat oven to 425°F. Mix all filling ingredients, except apples, in large bowl. Gently stir in apples. Transfer apple mixture to a 13x9-inch baking dish.
  • 2 For the topping, mix together all ingredients until well blended. Sprinkle crumb topping over apple mixture to cover.
  • 3 Bake 15 minutes. Reduce temperature to 375°F. Bake 35 minutes longer.
  • 4 Remove from oven and let cool 20 minutes before serving. Spoon generous helpings into a bowl and top with your favorite ice cream.
