- 1 cup flour
- 1 cup yellow cornmeal
- 2/3 cup white sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 egg
- 1 cup milk
- 1/3 cup vegetable oil
- 2 tablespoon Stubb's® Smokey Mesquite Barbecue Sauce
- 2 tablespoon honey
INSTRUCTIONS
- 1 Preheat oven to 400° F. Spray a 9-inch round cake pan with cooking spray.
- 2 In a bowl, combine flour, cornmeal, sugar, salt and baking powder. Stir in egg, milk and vegetable oil until combined. Pour batter into pan.
- 3 Bake for 20 to 25 minutes. To test doneness, insert a toothpick into the center of the cornbread until it comes out clean.
- 4 Mix Stubb’s sauce with honey and brush lightly over freshly baked cornbread.
