Ingredients
- Jambalaya Rice
- 2 1/2 cups water
- 1 package Zatarain's® Jambalaya Rice Mix
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil, optional
- Optional Mix-Ins
- 1 package Zatarain’s® Andouille Smoked Sausage, thinly sliced, cooked as directed on package
- 1 package Zatarain’s® Cajun Style Smoked Sausage, thinly sliced, cooked as directed on package
- Cooked chicken, cubed (about 1 pound)
- Cooked shrimp, peeled and deveined (about 1 pound)
- Cooked ham, cubed
- Sauteed bell peppers
- Sauteed mushrooms
- Diced tomatoes
INSTRUCTIONS
- 1 Mix water, Rice Mix and oil in large saucepan until well blended. Bring to boil. Reduce heat to low; cover and simmer 25 minutes or until most of the water is absorbed and rice is tender.

Remove from heat. Let stand 5 minutes. Fluff with fork before serving. Make it your own by mixing in your choice of meat, seafood and vegetables.
Tip: All meat, seafood and vegetables (except tomatoes) should be completely cooked before stirring into prepared jambalaya!
