Ingredients
- 1 cup sour cream
- 2 1/2 teaspoons Lawry's® Seasoned Salt, divided
- 1/4 teaspoon Lawry's® Colorful Coarse Ground Blend Seasoned Pepper
- 2 cans (15 1/2 ounces each) black-eyed peas, drained and rinsed
- 2 eggs, lightly beaten
- 1 cup finely chopped onion

- 1/2 cup flour
- 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
INSTRUCTIONS
- 1 Mix sour cream, 1/2 teaspoon of the seasoned salt and seasoned pepper in small bowl until well blended. Cover. Refrigerate until ready to serve.
- 2 Mash black-eyed peas in large bowl. Stir in remaining ingredients, except oil, until well blended.
- 3 Heat oil in large deep skillet on medium-high heat. Drop bean mixture into oil by 1/4-cupfuls, flattening slightly. Cook fritters, turning once, 7 minutes or until golden brown. Drain on paper towels. Keep warm while cooking remaining fritters. Serve warm fritters with sour cream mixture.
