INGREDIENTS

Ingredients
- 1 bottle (750 milliliters) dry red wine, such as cabernet sauvignon, merlot, or zinfandel
- 1/4 cup Cointreau® Orange Liqueur, Grand Marnier®, or orange brandy
- 1 orange, sliced (seeds removed)
- 2 McCormick® Cinnamon Sticks
- 4 McCormick® Whole Cloves
- 1/4 cup superfine sugar
- McCormick® Ground Nutmeg, optional
INSTRUCTIONS
- 1 Mix all ingredients except nutmeg in large saucepan. Bring just to gentle simmer on medium heat. Do not boil or allow to bubble rapidly.

Reduce heat to low; simmer gently 15 minutes. Serve warm sprinkled lightly with ground nutmeg, if desired.
Test Kitchen Tip: for a slightly sweeter, fruitier version, stir in 1 cup apple cider along before simmering.
