INSTRUCTIONS
- 1 For the biscuits, preheat oven to 475°F. Place flour in large bowl. Using a pastry cutter or fork, work butter into flour until mixture resembles crumbs the size of peas. Add buttermilk, stir with fork just until flour is moistened.
- 2 Turn dough onto lightly floured surface. Gently roll dough with floured rolling pin to 1 inch thickness. Cut out biscuits using a floured 2-inch round biscuit cutter or the rim of a cup. Place biscuits on baking sheet with edges touching. Re-roll dough scraps to make a total of 12 biscuits.
- 3 Bake 8 to 10 minutes or until golden brown.

Meanwhile, for the gravy, gradually stir water into Gravy Mix in medium saucepan with whisk. Stirring frequently, cook on medium heat until gravy comes to a boil. Stir in thyme leaves. Reduce heat and simmer 1 minute. Serve hot gravy over warm biscuits.
Test Kitchen Tip: For creamier gravy, substitute milk in place of the water.
