Ingredients
- 2 pounds lean beef stew meat
- 1 package McCormick® Bag 'n Season® Pot Roast Cooking & Seasoning Mix
- 1 tablespoon flour
- 1 1/4 cups water
- 1/2 cup gingersnaps, finely crushed
- 1/4 cup white vinegar
- 1/4 teaspoon McCormick® Pure Ground Black Pepper
INSTRUCTIONS
- 1 Preheat oven to 350°F. Arrange opened Cooking Bag in 13x9-inch baking pan or dish. Place beef in bag. Add flour; toss to coat.
- 2 Stir Seasoning Mix, water, gingersnaps, vinegar and pepper until smooth. Pour over beef. Close bag loosely with nylon tie. Cut 4 small holes in top of bag to allow steam to escape.
- 3 Bake in lower half of oven 1 to 1 1/4 hours. Remove from oven. Let stand 5 minutes. Cut open bag. Stir before serving.
TIPS AND TRICKS
Allow 8 inches for bag to expand while cooking. Cooking bag should not touch oven walls or racks.
