INGREDIENTS
Servings: 8 (1-taco)
Ingredients
- Guacamole
- 2 medium avocados, peeled ad pitted
- 1/4 cup seeded and finely chopped plum tomato
- 1 tablespoon chopped fresh cilantro
- 1 tablespoon fresh lime juice
- 1 teaspoon McCormick® Garlic Powder
- 1/2 teaspoon McCormick® Sea Salt Grinder
- 1/4 teaspoon McCormick® Black Pepper Grinder
- Crispy Fish Tacos
- 1/4 cup McCormick® Tartar Sauce
- 1 package McCormick® Original Taco Seasoning Mix
- 1/4 cup unseasoned bread crumbs
- 1 pound tilapia fillets, (about 4 whole fillets)
- 3 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 8 (8-inch) flour tortillas, warmed
- 2 medium plum tomatoes, cored and chopped
- 1/2 small head iceberg lettuce, very thinly sliced
INSTRUCTIONS
- 1 For the Guacamole, mash avocados in medium bowl. Add remaining ingredients. Mix until well blended. Cover surface with plastic wrap. Refrigerate until ready to serve.
- 2 For the Fish Tacos, mix Seasoning Mix and bread crumbs in shallow dish. Pat fish dry with paper towels. Brush on both sides with Tartar Sauce. Coat fish evenly on both sides with seasoned bread crumb mixture.
- 3 Heat oil in large skillet on medium-high heat. Place fish in skillet, being careful not to overlap (work in 2 batches, if needed). Cook fish 2 to 3 minutes per side or until coating is crispy and fish flakes easily with a fork.
- 4 Cut fish into 8 portions. Serve in warm tortillas. Top with lettuce, tomato and guacamole to serve.
