Ingredients
- 6 tablespoons butter, divided
- 1/2 cup Zatarain's® Cajun Hot Sauce
- 1 cup chopped onion
- 1/2 cup chopped celery
- 1 package (8 ounces) cream cheese, cubed
- 1/2 teaspoon Zatarain's® New Orleans Style Creole Seasoning
- 4 cups shredded cooked chicken
- 1 bag (32 ounces) frozen fried potato nuggets, divided
- 1 cup shredded Cheddar cheese, divided
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
INSTRUCTIONS
- 1 Preheat oven to 400°F. Melt 4 tablespoons of the butter in small saucepan on medium heat. Stir in hot sauce with wire whisk until well blended. Set aside.
- 2 Melt remaining 2 tablespoons butter in large deep skillet. Add onion and celery; cook and stir 2 to 3 minutes or until softened. Add cream cheese, 1/2 cup of the hot sauce mixture and Creole Seasoning; cook and stir until cream cheese is melted. Stir in chicken.
- 3 Place 1/2 of the potato nuggets in single layer in 13x9-inch baking dish sprayed with no stick cooking spray. Spoon chicken mixture over potato nuggets in baking dish. Sprinkle with 1/2 cup of the shredded cheese. Top with remaining potato nuggets.
- 4 Bake 25 minutes or until potato nuggets are golden brown and crispy. Drizzle with remaining hot sauce mixture and sprinkle with remaining 1/2 cup cheese. Bake 5 minutes longer or until cheese is melted. Sprinkle with parsley. Serve with your favorite dressing such as ranch or blue cheese, if desired.
