INGREDIENTS
Servings: 4
Ingredients
- 1 pound boneless skinless chicken breasts, cut into bite-sized pieces
- 1 cup flour
- 2 teaspoons salt
- 2 teaspoons McCormick® Pure Ground Black Pepper
- 1 teaspoon McCormick® Garlic Powder
- 1 teaspoon McCormick® Onion Powder
- 1/2 teaspoon McCormick® Paprika
-
Vegetable oil, for frying
Substitutions available
- avocado oil
- Thinly sliced green onions, to garnish
- Honey mustard sauce, for dipping
INSTRUCTIONS
- 1 In a shallow dish, mix flour, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and paprika until well blended.
- 2 Dredge each piece of chicken in seasoned flour mixture, shaking off any excess. Place coated chicken on a plate or wire rack.
- 3 In a large skillet or frying pan, heat vegetable oil over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C). (You need enough oil to cover the bottom of the pan with about 1/2-inch depth.) Carefully add the coated chicken pieces to the hot oil, working in batches, making sure not to overcrowd the pan. Fry for about 3 to 4 minutes per side, or until golden brown and cooked through. Use tongs to flip the chicken pieces halfway through cooking. Once the chicken is cooked, transfer to a plate lined with paper towels to drain any excess oil.
- 4 While the chicken is still hot, sprinkle with additional salt and pepper to taste. Toss the chicken gently to coat evenly.
- 5 Transfer the salt and pepper fried chicken bites to a serving platter. Garnish with thinly sliced green onions. Serve immediately with honey mustard on the side for dipping.
