Ingredients
- 1 can (15 1/2 ounces) chickpeas (garbanzo beans), drained and rinsed
- 1/3 cup unseasoned panko breadcrumbs
- 1/3 cup finely chopped bell peppers
- 1/3 cup finely chopped onions
- 1 package McCormick® Salt Free Burger Business by Tabitha Brown Seasoning Mix
- 3 tablespoons vegan mayonnaise
- 1 tablespoon oil
- 4 hamburger buns
- Assorted Toppings: Sliced tomatoes, sliced avocado and dill pickle chips
INSTRUCTIONS
- 1 Place chickpeas in large bowl. Smash with fork or potato masher until mostly smooth, leaving some small chunks for texture. Add breadcrumbs, bell pepper, onion and Seasoning Mix, stirring to mix well. Add mayonnaise, stirring until mixture comes together. (If needed, add an additional 1 tablespoon of mayonnaise.) Shape into 4 patties.
- 2 Heat oil in large nonstick skillet on medium-high heat. Place patties in skillet. Using a spatula, flatten gently while cooking. Cook about 3 minutes or just until crispy on both sides and heated through, turning halfway through cooking. Serve on buns with desired condiments and toppings.
