INGREDIENTS

Ingredients

  • 1 pound lean ground beef or turkey
  • 1 package McCormick® Original Taco Seasoning Mix
  • 3/4 cup water
  • 10 (1-ounce) snack size chip bags, such as nacho cheese or ranch flavored tortilla chips, crushed slightly

INSTRUCTIONS

  • 1 Brown meat in large skillet on medium-high heat. Drain.
  • 2 Stir in Seasoning Mix and water. Bring to boil. Reduce heat and simmer 5 minutes, stirring occasionally until sauce is thickened.
  • 3 To assemble walking tacos, open chip bags and spoon about 1/4 cup taco meat into each bag. Add desired toppings such as shredded lettuce, chopped tomatoes, shredded cheese, chopped avocado, salsa, sour cream and cilantro. Serve with a fork.

    Test Kitchen Tip: For a vegetarian-friendly version of this recipe, try Black Bean Walking Tacos: Mix 2 cans (15 to 16 oz. each) black beans, drained and rinsed, 3/4 cup water and Seasoning Mix in large skillet. Prepare as directed above.
