Ingredients
- vegetable oil, for frying
- 1 package McCormick® Hush Puppy Corn Meal Mix
- 1/2 cup water
- 1 can (8 1/2 ounces) cream style corn
- 1 can (4 1/2 ounces) chopped green chiles, drained
INSTRUCTIONS
- 1 Pour oil into deep fryer, large heavy skillet or saucepan, filling no more than 1/3 full. Heat oil to 375°F on medium heat.
- 2 Stir Batter Mix, water, corn and chiles in medium bowl until smooth. Let stand 10 minutes to thicken.
- 3 Drop batter carefully by teaspoonfuls into hot oil. Cook several hush puppies at a time. Fry 2 minutes or until golden brown, turning once. Drain on paper towels.
