Servings: 4 (1 cup)
Ingredients
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1/2 cup chopped onion
- 2 cups chicken stock
- 1 cup frozen peas
- 1/2 teaspoon McCormick® Garlic Powder
- 1/4 teaspoon McCormick® Pure Ground Black Pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon McCormick® Ground Nutmeg
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 2 cups instant white rice
- 1/4 cup toasted sliced almonds
INSTRUCTIONS
- 1 Melt butter in medium saucepan on medium heat. Add onion; cook and stir 3 minutes or until softened. Add stock, peas and seasonings. Bring to boil.
- 2 Stir in rice. Remove from heat. Let stand 5 minutes. Stir in almonds.
