Ingredients
- 1/2 pound ground beef
- 3 cups water
- 1 cup long grain white rice
- 1 can (8 ounces) tomato sauce
- 1 package McCormick® Original Taco Seasoning Mix

- 1 Brown ground beef in a 3-quart saucepan. Add rice, toast rice for 2 minutes, stirring frequently.
- 2 Add water, rice, tomato sauce and Seasoning Mix. Stir until well blended. Bring to a boil. Stirring occasionally. Reduce heat to low; cover and simmer 20 minutes or until rice is tender, stirring occasionally (to help avoid the rice from sticking to the bottom of the pan).

Remove from heat. Let stand 5 minutes or until rice is tender. Serve with suggested toppings, if desired.
Serving Suggestion: Serve with assorted toppings, such as shredded cheese, sour cream, chopped avocado, cilantro and chopped onions.
Test Kitchen Tip: For Cheesy Taco Rice, stir in 1 cup shredded cheese during the 5 minute standing time.
