- 3 cups flour
- 2 teaspoons McCormick® Ground Ginger
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon McCormick® Ground Cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup (1 stick) butter, softened
- 1 cup molasses
- 1/4 cup firmly packed brown sugar
- 1 egg
- 1/2 cup applesauce
- 1/2 cup milk
- 2 tablespoons granulated sugar

INSTRUCTIONS
- 1 Preheat oven to 350°F. Mix flour, ginger, baking powder, cinnamon and salt in medium bowl. Set aside.
- 2 Beat butter, molasses and brown sugar in large bowl with electric mixer on medium speed until well blended and smooth. Add egg and applesauce; mix well. Add flour mixture alternately with milk, beating on low speed after each addition.
- 3 Spoon batter into 15 paper-lined muffin cups, filling each cup 3/4 full. Sprinkle with granulated sugar.
- 4 Bake 15 to 20 minutes or until toothpick inserted into muffin comes out clean. Serve warm.
