Ingredients
- 1 package McCormick® Bag 'n Season® Pot Roast Cooking & Seasoning Mix
- 3 pounds eye round roast, trimmed
- 2 cups green beans
- 1 cup onion, slices
- 1 cup red bell pepper, strips
- 1 can tomato sauce, (8 ounces)
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon flour
- 1 1/2 teaspoons McCormick® Perfect Pinch® Italian Seasoning
INSTRUCTIONS
- 1 Preheat oven to 350°F. Arrange opened Cooking Bag in 13x9-inch baking pan or dish. Place roast and vegetables in bag.
- 2 Mix Seasoning Mix, tomato sauce, brown sugar, flour and Italian seasoning until well blended. Pour over roast. Close bag loosely with nylon tie. Cut 4 small holes in top of bag to allow steam to escape.
- 3 Bake in lower half of oven 1 1/2 hours. Remove from oven. Let stand 5 minutes before slicing. Serve over cooked noodles, if desired.
TIPS AND TRICKS
IMPORTANT: Allow 8 inches for bag to expand while cooking. Cooking bag should not touch oven walls or racks.
