Ingredients

  • Honey Ginger Dipping Sauce:
  • 1/3 cup orange juice
  • 1 tablespoon sliced green onion
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1/8 teaspoon McCormick® Ground Ginger
  • Sesame Tempura Shrimp:
  • Vegetable oil, for frying
  • 1 cup McCormick® Tempura Seafood Batter Mix
  • 1 bottle McCormick® Sesame Seed
  • 2 teaspoons sugar
  • 3/4 cup ice cold water
  • 2 teaspoons sesame oil
  • 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined

INSTRUCTIONS

  • 1 For the Honey Ginger Dipping Sauce, mix all ingredients in small bowl. Set aside.
  • 2 For the Sesame Tempura Shrimp, pour oil into deep fryer, large heavy skillet or saucepan, filling no more than 1/3 full. Heat on medium heat to 375°F.
  • 3 Stir Batter Mix, sesame seed, sugar, water and sesame oil in medium bowl until mixed. (Batter will be slightly lumpy.)
  • 4 Dip a few shrimp at a time into batter. Shake off excess. Carefully add shrimp, several pieces at a time, to hot oil. Fry 3 minutes or until golden brown, turning once. Drain on paper towels. Serve with Honey Ginger Dipping Sauce.
